FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the payer authorize Automatic Pix?

The payer authorizes it directly in their bank's app through an automatic debit request. It is like a "direct debit," but via Pix — regulated by the Central Bank since June 2025. The payer sets a maximum amount and can cancel at any time.

Do all banks support Automatic Pix?

Institutions participating in Pix with more than 5 million active accounts are required to offer it. In practice, the major banks and fintechs already support it or are in the adoption phase.

What happens if the payer has insufficient funds?

Under BCB regulations, if the payer has insufficient funds when the charge is attempted, the transaction is not executed. Retry and notification rules are being defined and will be made available at launch.

Does Ezcale appear to the end payer?

No. Everything is white-label. The payer sees the merchant's brand (which in turn operates under the tenant's brand). Ezcale is the invisible infrastructure.
